Road Maps for the Psalms
Chapter One Part One

Psalm 1: Places all people into their respective spiritual camps.

Part one: All people are separated ethically v. 1-4
1 Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.

(does no harm ethically)

2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
Whatever he does prospers.

(Actions are consistant with the Law of the Lord. The individual results produce good due to ethical correctiveness).

4 Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.

(The wicked are ethically weak, they are this way because of lack of trust, and mediation of Gods word).

My conclusion:

Verses 1-4 represent the Godly (which all who are saved by grace through faith can obtain) this is obtained by complete submission to Gods word and meditation upon it. Therefore, a man is BLESSED and following comes DELIGHT in the law of the Lord because ALL mediation is focused correctly on GOD!

Outline derived from "Road Maps to the Psalms" by George Zemek
***Side note*** Amazing adaptive outline of deeper understanding of Gods word. I am excited!

Psalms 1 part 2 is to come..... get ready...
